About Me
Thanks for stopping by!

I’m Jo - based in Sussex and passionate about all things countryside. I first moved here when I was 12 and spent 6 glorious years here
I grew up with a deep love for the countryside, spending my early years in Surrey before moving to Sussex when I was 12. My childhood was filled with ponies, riding, and a growing appreciation for the beauty of the British countryside. In my twenties, I moved to Spain, where I spent a good 10 years before returning to the UK in 2011.

These days, my life revolves around my passions for British farming, the countryside, and supporting local. I’m a firm believer in shopping local, backing British, and using sustainable food sources. There’s something incredibly rewarding about knowing where your food comes from and supporting the hardworking people who produce it. I also love exploring the fantastic range of pubs, restaurants, venues, and local produce vendors in West Sussex and beyond. Whether it’s a cozy country pub, a farm shop brimming with fresh produce, or a day out in the fields, I’m always on the lookout for new experiences to share.
At home, I share my life with my partner, our energetic working Cocker Spaniel, two cheeky Chihuahuas, and an ever increasing flock of chickens. Together we enjoy country living, and I can’t wait to share the things I love—whether it’s fieldsports, countryside photography, or simply the joy of a walk through the fields.
This blog has been an idea of mine for such a long time. I’m not entirely sure where it'll take me, but I’m looking forward to having fun along the way and hope you’ll enjoy the content I share.
